THE EMPEROR’S PROCESSION is a 2-5 player GMless narrative-focused game. It can also be played as a solo journalling game or with a GM if necessary.

The Emperor is an almighty being who must lead a grand procession through their land. This procession is as old as time, and the path is well known.  For this reason, throughout history, many locales have developed on the sides of the Emperor’s road to greet and shelter them - to beg their favour and to bear their judgement.

Players will inhabit the residents of each locale, crafting a montage of the Emperor’s journey through the events that occur within the three days they spend at each location.

The document is very basic, it consists mostly of text and a handful of tables. You will need dice or a dice roller - but be warned, each character only rolls 3 times per locale, and those 3 rolls may tell an intense story.

This is my first attempt at writing a game, constructive feedback is always appreciated though the fate of this project is indeed unknown~ I'd be happy to hear if a good few people tried it out and enjoyed it. Reviews, APs, solo-journalling extracts are all welcome!

Oooh, I quite like this! I do have a question about character creation- Do the archetypes have any sort of mechanical weight or are they more like character inspirations?

Archetypes don't have any mechanical weight at all! You can even create your own ☺️ 


They're loosely tied to the vibes of each locale (trapped character archetypes in Freeze, social character archetypes in Friend etc) but it's all for narrative inspiration.
