You killed a god
and they are dying slowly.

Content warnings for the game text: Death, religion, sacrifice, toxic relationships, violence, body horror, nightmares, hallucinations, fire, mutation, monsters, manipulation, coercion, curses, abandonment, betrayal, water scarcity, nausea, vomiting, difficulty with eating, guilt-tripping, abuse of power, identity loss

This game is about a dying god who spends the last of their days, isolated, with the one who killed them.

This game is about a mortal who killed a god - the reason isn't important - the Sun doesn't care about the reason. The Sun and the Moon torment the killer, who can only find refuge in the shadow of the dying god.

This is a story about guilt, regret, shame and the love beneath it all.

The game can be played solo, however it is better suited for duet play, with one player as the killer and the other as the god. It is GMless and relies on rolling through tables for prompts and the main mechanic is opt-in, to see how well the god protects their own killer from the Sun as their strength wanes.

You will need a d12 and a d4, or an online roller.

As of 14/7/24, this game is fresh out of the brain so edits and revisions may come.

This is my second attempt at writing a game, constructive feedback is always appreciated though the fate of this project is indeed unknown~ I'd be happy to hear if a good few people tried it out and enjoyed it. Reviews, APs, solo-journalling extracts are all welcome!

I got so excited about getting people to play this, I typed up my answers and posted them Here. I think it is incredibly well thought out and written. There's not a lot of extra bullshit in the rules or worldbuilding, letting the player do the legwork, which if you ask me, is Excellent. Go nuts with whatever kind of world you want. Doesn't take more than an hour or two, so it's perfect if your trying to get creativity flowing. I will absolutely try to get people to play this. 10/10. Thanks for making it!
